Nicole Keown, Sandcastle Homes Purchasing Manager, has been named Green Building Advocate of the year. This Houston’s Best Prism award is given in recognition of her efforts in promoting green building practices in the greater Houston area. The Houston’s Best Prism awards are designed given to reward home building professionals who execute superior performance and expertise within their industry. Nicole has made great strides within the green building movement and has solidified Sandcastle Homes’ commitment to building green certified homes thru the Green Built Gulf Coast Program.

Nicole Keown has been an instrumental member of the Sandcastle Homes team since 2003 and a strong force behind the Green building movement at the Greater Houston Builders Association. Shortly after graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston, Nicole proudly dove into the challenge of inner loop new home construction. Throughout the years she has taken on a very ”hands on” approach to learning the residential construction business and has not backed down from the challenge yet. Not only is Nicole the Purchasing Manager for Sandcastle Homes, but she is also a certified Green Building Professional. She oversees product innovation and is committed to building a high quality, affordable; Green Built Gulf Coast certified product line, a program that is closely tied to the National Green building Standard, and ANSI Certified.
