Spring is in full swing. The weather is getting nicer, and the events are heating up. Here are five events happening around your Houston homes      community.

  1. The Market at Sawyer Yards – Takes place this Saturday, May 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This curated market will feature various artists focusing of folk art and artisan crafts. There will also be live music and food available: https://sawyerstreetmarket.com/.
  2. New Kids On The Block Mixtape Tour 2022 The Party Continues – Are you feeling nostalgic? Do you want to jam out to some of the sweet sounds from the 1990’s? Then come out to the Toyota Center on Thursday, May 19 to see New Kids On The Block with special guests Salt-N-Pepa, Rick Astley, and En Vogue concert.   3. The Taste of Louisiana Festival- This Louisiana-themed festival takes place Saturday, May 21 at the Crown Festival Park in Sugar Land. Come out to enjoy Louisiana and International cuisine from various vendors and great New Orleans music and Zydeco and Blues from an array of artists. Crawfish is available for presale purchase.   4. The Contemporary Arts Museum Houston – The Amoako Boafo: Soul of Black Folks exhibit begins Friday, May 27 and runs through Sunday, October 2. This solo exhibit, featuring Ghanaian artist Amoako Boafo, showcases Black cultural life within the Black diaspora: https://camh.org/event/soul-of-black-folks/.
  5. Memorial Day in The Woodlands – Celebrate Memorial Day a day early in the Woodlands. Pay tribute to the men and women who served, protected, and lost their lives fighting for this great nation.
