Why Should You Live in Houston’s Inner Loop?

Everything is bigger in Texas! And that goes for the amount of people moving here. In the November 2018 published by U.S. News & World Report article, “Americans Are Moving to These 10 States,” Texas is the second most popular state Americans moved to between 2016 and 2017 according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Not only are people flocking to Texas, but people are flocking to Houston, Texas’ largest city.

Are you considering a move to Houston? You should! Here are the top three reasons why you should consider a move to the Inner-Loop in Houston.

1. Affordability – Compared to other metro areas, Houston is more affordable to live in than Atlanta, Chicago, and New York. In addition, it also cost less in Houston than it does in Austin or Dallas. Sandcastle Homes builds in the best sections of the Inner Loop including Camp Logan, Cottage Grove, Heights, Montrose, Rice Military, Shady Acres, Sunset Heights, Bellaire, and  West End. We offer a wide array of homes in Houston TX with different styles and floor plans starting from the high $400’s to mid $600s.

2. Entertainment – The Inner-Loop is a bustling, fun, and vibrant area offering something for everybody to enjoy. If you want to be part of the scene, relax, enjoy the outdoors or even learn, Houston’s Inner Loop has it all. There are plenty of dining options, entertainment, and shops within the Inner Loop. Montrose has art museums, galleries, historic buildings, and thrift and vintage shops. Attractions nearby Rice Military and Downtown include the Alley Theatre, Galleria, and Toyota Center. Additionally, there are an abundance of sports teams in Houston. From professional teams like the Astros, Rockets, and Texans to rodeos, high school sports, and collegiate teams at the University of Houston and Rice University.

3. Greenest City of the South – Houston has over 50,000 parks space within the city. From Herman Park to Memorial Park, the city has plenty of walking, running and biking trails to spend your free time in. Bayou Greenways 2020 is officially underway, and its goal is to improve the city’s access to trails and parks and boosting wildlife conservation. On the weekends, you will see people gather to these parks to enjoy the outdoors!

4. Being Close to EVERYTHING – One major plus about living in town is commuting to work. With most of the Inner Loop neighborhoods being minutes away from all major freeways, it’s easy and quicker to drive to work. Knowing how horrible the traffic is in Houston, having a good commute can make or break your day. On the other hand, another positive is how walkable the city is. All communities have restaurants, bars and shopping that you can walk to in minutes5. Diversity – Downtown Houston is one of the most diverse cities in the country. It is a melting pot of all different types of cultures and ages. You will find young adults to empty-nesters living in the city. From Montrose to Eado and Upper Kirby to Bellaire, each neighborhood is very diverse in the people, food, entertainment and even shopping.

I just moved into my new Sandcastle home and I think it’s a wonderful place to live. They have been very helpful, particularly Lynette and Steve. From the owner Mike Salomen down, it has been a truly positive experience. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to buy a new home that is built of high quality to consider this home builder.
